Short Trapani busiate with cuttlefish ink, artisanal, with only 100% Sicilian wheat, grown and produced in Sicily. The addition of cuttlefish ink to the busiate mixture, in quantities of 4%, determines the excellence of a unique Mediterranean taste, and the uniqueness of the undisputed quality of the ingredients used.
The characteristic shape of the busiate, born in the Trapani area and so called for the use in ancient times, of a natural cane, called "buso" where the dough was twisted, is particularly suitable for collecting sauces and gravies, and specifically of the cuttlefish ink sauce, they are at their best with the addition of the cherry tomato and a pinch of chilli pepper. An inevitable variant in Sicilian catering, present in the menus of the best restaurants and farmhouses, busiata is always appreciated and requested.
