Long artisanal Trapani busiate, 500 gram packs on sale per carton of 24. The expiry date is up to two years. Busiate are the primary typical Trapani dish, used for festive recipes and in catering, for inviting and appetizing menus based on both meat and fish. The origin of this pasta shape is linked to the tradition of western Sicily, where, as happens with cannoli, the dough of this pasta shape was wrapped along the stem of a typical plant, called "buso", to give the twisted shape. The long busiate are generally used for the recipe with fresh cherry tomatoes and aubergines, but they are excellent with a shrimp and courgette sauce, and reach taste perfection with a full-bodied meat ragù.
Ingredients: 100% Sicilian durum wheat, water.
Producer: Pastificio Giacalone in Mazara del Vallo (TP)
The sale is in cartons of 24 pieces of 500 g. each for a total of 12 kg.
